Drilling Fleet Capability

PD01 & PD02 – Epiroc Simba S7C (x2 units)

Medium-range longhole production drills suited for small to medium stope environments. These units operate with T38 (64 mm) and T45 (76 mm) hole sizes and support drill string lengths of up to approximately 25–27 m.

Typically deployed where shorter drill strings and flexible setups are required, enabling efficient drilling cycles and maintaining productivity in standard production stopes. Their configuration supports consistent hole alignment, contributing to controlled blasting and reduced overbreak.

PD03 – Atlas Copco Simba 1257

Compact longhole drill designed for operations with restricted access or tighter stope geometries. Capable of drilling T38 (64 mm) and T45 (76 mm) holes with drill string lengths up to approximately 16–20 m.

This unit is suited to conditions where manoeuvrability and positioning are critical, allowing drilling to be carried out in areas where larger rigs are not practical, while maintaining operational efficiency.

PD04 – Epiroc Simba E7C

Heavy-duty longhole production drill designed for large-scale stoping operations and high-production environments. Equipped for larger diameter drilling (T58 – 89 mm and T68 – 102 mm), with reaming capability up to 204 mm and drill string capacity of approximately 50 m.

Used where longer holes and larger blast designs are required, reducing the number of drilling setups and supporting higher production rates. This unit is suited to operations prioritising productivity, deeper drilling, and efficient large-scale extraction.
